The 60-second talking script

If you're fifty-five or above you might think the 15-month policy news doesn't apply to you. You were already exempt.
Partly true — and the part everyone missed is the part that matters.
Singapore citizens aged fifty-five and above were exempt from the wait-out, but only when buying a four-room flat or smaller. That size cap is now gone.
Which changes the conversation completely. Before, right-sizing meant right-sizing to HDB's definition. Four-room or under, or wait fifteen months. Want a five-room so the grandchildren can stay over? An Executive because you've spent thirty years accumulating a life? You were stuck.
Now, any resale flat size, no wait.
For a lot of seniors that's the difference between a move that feels like a loss and one that feels sensible. You right-size your costs without shrinking your life.
Everything else still applies. Six-month disposal. No HDB loan on this route.
