If you're an SPR who owns a private apartment and you downgrade to a resale flat, ABSD remission is given upfront and you pay five percent — not thirty. That's conditional on disposing of your private property within six months of completing the flat purchase.

Five percent instead of thirty. On a seven hundred thousand dollar flat, that's roughly a hundred and seventy-five thousand dollars resting entirely on hitting one deadline.

So the 15-month policy removal helps you the same as anyone. But your downside for missing that six-month window is far heavier, because your baseline rate is so much higher.
